Very busy the past week, missed posting as Robert and I went to Austin for our grandson’s birthday. My student whose mom had brain surgery showed and she has made it so it was a great celebration. Then off onto a short vacation, but worth the time spent with a five-year-old. Would love to bottle all that energy. During our vacation, I was informed that my nephew has been in a head on collision and seeing the truck I am shocked he made it out alive. First few days seemed pretty bleak along with the surgeries to save his life. Today, he has movement in his limbs and opened his eyes. He has a long road ahead of him. I know how difficult it must be to sit beside the bed of your child overwhelmed by the worst helpless emotion.
When there is nothing you can do, the best plan of action is to pray. Speak the name of Jesus into the situation.
Here is the prayer I sent to our family:
Prayers for healing. Prayers for recovery. Prayers, you hold our family together through this storm. May God’s hand wash over him in ways we can’t. May the love you have for us give our hearts peace as we release Dominic into your care. Comfort, support, and strengthen us as we need you.

Comfort me through scripture so I send it out to you:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4).
