So many different perspectives right? So a couple of observations. I was looking in the mirror. My face looked normal (thank goodness) but it was in the middle of the moment when I felt the ice pick being plunged into my eyebrow (metaphorical of course). It is an indescribable sharp pain that is part of my daily life. But as I am feeling it internally my facial expression didn’t change. I usually stop to catch my breath and rub then just go one with my day. I just happened to catch the experience in the mirror and you know a lot of people just suck it up and move about their day and we come across them everyday and just don’t know it.
Just goes to the point that we see the surface of people most times. Like my face just looked normal. But what we do know is bubbling right under the surface of a person’s life? On the outside normal, but under the surface pain that could be physical, but also mentally or emotional. If that is you then just know:
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” Psalm 34:18
Reminds me to be a bit more patient which is one of my own weaknesses.
Just finished a short class on the Introduction of the Constitution. It is amazing what I just don’t know and what I didn’t learn in school. The bottom line is there is no excuse to go out and learn and expand on your assumptions or knowledge. We all can expand and grow. I posted to my blog the notes I took from the lesson videos with the link to take the class(es) on your own for free. I challenge you to look at the many sites I post to see if you can go in and learn about the value of the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. I learned a great deal about the significance of the separation of powers. How we have given our consent as a sovereign people to political agencies to become the 3 branches of government. We have forgotten our prominence and we need to take it back.
Here is the point: God did establish governing authority that is pulled out of context from Romans 13. The part that gets overlooked is this:
“The authorities that exist have been established by God!”
This means the government is expected to live by the edicts, character, and commands of God so therefore have earned the privilege to be in authority so we honor those in authority as they put God as their guide in implementing our government. There is a qualifier-Government honors God then the people will honor the government. Godly people cannot and should not follow a corrupt satan-filled government. They have broken the contract between God and the sovereign people.
