January 9, 2024 Posted thoughts on trauma dumping, Founder's Bible, and the courts

I do feel like I am getting old when I hear things like “trauma dumping.” I have heard of oversharing or back in the day it was more like TMI (too much information). But, this is on steroids. So, if you don’t know it is defined as unloading traumatic experiences on others without warning or invitation. And I mean by super overloading on crying, loudly emoting emotional baggage, or just crazy outbursts of crazy. The main reason I just can’t get into watching TikTok. I am not interested in a bunch of people trying to normalize crying events at the drop of a dime in front of a bunch of strangers. To what-get validated by them? Here is where I just think it is not genuine, real, and for some kind of fake show.

So, you are having a moment. You are offended and hurt by a book you once read when you were 6 years old. The oppressive memory is just too much and you just can’t hold it in any longer. So, you set up the camera, make sure your make-up is all good, and make sure your mood matches your outfit. Camera facing your good side and then you press record. The distorted face appears, sounds of tear sniffles and hiccups. Then the reason for the unloading of that 6 year old reading that book that has you traumatizing on camera at age 25.

Now take all the above and there stands a woman with what looks like a month's load of laundry to fold. Looking on with the baby in hand is dad-I think. She or he had to set the camera up at just the right angle and hit record. Is she ready for her performance? Yes, yes there it is. The slouch, the shoulders bobble, the waving of the laundry in hand. Then in her stressed, sad, deprived crying voice she utters “the baby loves you more than me and it is all my fault!” Wait, what? Through heaving she just keeps telling the man in the room the baby just doesn’t like her, but what is she missing through her anguish? The baby reaches for her and the man pulls him closer to himself while trying to soothe the woman-as he slowly puts the baby’s arms down she just continues wallowing. Cut-I am sure the baby not cooperating in hating her on camera didn’t quite fulfill the unloading of this utter traumatic experience.

Is throwing temper or trauma tantrums what society is pushing to feel accepted and mentally, morally, and emotionally redeemed. I just want to say to these people that you don’t have to do this to feel validated and if you are that desperate for attention then maybe you are looking in the wrong place to gain any type of self-esteem.

Maybe if we look beyond the fake realities of this world, but take ownership of our place in God’s kingdom and the promises in God’s Word:

I am beautiful enough because “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14).
I am equipped enough because “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
I am resilient enough because “God is thin her, she will not fall” (Psalm 46:5).
I am strong enough because “The Lord is my strength and my shield” (Psalm 28:76).

New Year: The Founders Bible Study-Week 1

Many people have the mindset that “if it is not affecting me or my family then I just ignore it or just don’t pay attention.” What we are seeing happening in America will affect every person in the United States. There is no bubble that will protect you.

There is a call for Christians to engage in all aspects of society–politics, law, medicine, and education.

I watched the personal stories of the J6 accused and imprisoned which are heartbreaking. They want their stories to be heard even from behind bars. I can’t say if I were there if I would have just followed the crowd myself. “Their stories are not just about January 6th, it’s about holding the Constitution of the United States of America. The revered text that guarantees our freedoms. Our freedom of speech, our right to due process, freedom to petition our government for redress of grievances, and the cherished ideal that we are innocent until proven guilty. These fundamental rights are worth fighting for”

On December 13, 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court said it will take up the case challenging Jan. 6 obstruction charges. The decision could affect more than 330 defendants. https://open.ink/

Can’t you feel the shift in America?

“What is happening in America right now is that not public opinion but institutional control is driving the United States in a direction it has never intended to the degree that they are saying to America we are morally superior to the old America. This is a new America and that gives us the right to us by any means necessary to achieve a morally superior end. You are deplorable and irredeemable and Semi-Fascist, crazy, ultra-maga. You do not have the right to object to the means we are using.” Victor David Hansen

We study the Constitution by looking at what the founders were thinking and saying when they wrote the Constitution so we are able to recognize when someone is violating those rights so we can defend and assert those rights.

John Jay quote “ it is the responsibility of every citizen to read and study the Constitution so that we will know our rights
