Identity Politics, Wokeness, and critical theory push the same worldview

“If you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding…discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil” (Proverbs 2: 3, 11-12).

Ex. misguided identity politics: people are divided into two groups, the oppressors and the oppressed, and are pitted against each other

-one group is favored and the other is irredeemable (never offend any member of the oppressed)

-Wokeness: defined as essentially being engaged in the left’s modes of activism and addressing social justice

Ex. Government approved Antifa and BLM free to gather in mass demonstrations, but used COVID lockdown mandates to keep churches closed 

Ex. Defund the police resulted in increased crimes and suffering in in communities with already high-crime and weakened police protection

-Dominating our culture is the LGBTQ community movements: Identity group politics in this case sexual minority activism is trumping public health outcomes

***Ideology behind identity politics, wokeness, and critical theory collide with God’s design for human life

Ex. leftist ideology bypassing the science, facts and reality are endless

-Children wrestling with gender dysphoria grow to accept their biological sex in a vast majority of cases, yet culture demands “gender-affirming care” consisting of irreversible toxic hormone treatment and surgery for minors

-Transgender theory: treated as gospel truth, ideological groupthink ignores the thousands wanting to detransition, but plows forward wrecking lives at unprecedented levels 

***Radical ideology is trumping common sense, decency, and God’s wise design at the cost of trauma, feelings of helplessness, and bewilderment. Rejecting nature and God’s Word never ends well.

Ask yourself:

-How many are living in irreversible regret after doctors permanently damaged their bodies with harmful toxins and surgical removal of healthy body parts?

-How many children are thrown into sexual confusion by being introduced to experimental, confusing, and damaging ideas in first and second grade?

**Every follower of Christ must have awareness, vigilance, Biblical discernment and courage to stand up to the wind and the waves of powerful cultural movements.

Philippians 4:8 think about whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise

***Difficult to undo at the dinner table-or one hour on Sunday compared to the hours public school has impact on your kids. 

DIVISION IN THE CHURCH - 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

I listened to a conversation between a Christian, Atheist, and Agnostic come together on what they agree about our nation. They disagreed, but no yelling or calling names-Discourse is essential. They all agreed on our corrupt educational system:

-remove CRT (Critical Race Theory)

-SEL(Social Emotional Learning) is mental health indoctrination

-Sex education has become perverted pornography 

-remove restorative justice-behavior should have consequences

-remove trans agenda under guise of equity, diversity, and inclusion 

If Genesis is removed:

-Role of my faith aligned with what is said and what we do instead of putting our faith in our Creator

"So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 2: 21-25).

-Understanding Genesis: apologetics defend our Christian faith by the secular attacks of today

-Education: where the Bible is taught as a myth-taught naturalism-worldview of atheism-it teaches our youth to walk away from the church because they are taught they can’t trust the Bible.

-Core issue: Genesis ch.3-obey God’s word-you can be your own God says Satan-a battle of God’s word 

vs. Man’s word

“ The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:2-5).

-In the New Testament, Paul says the devil will attack us like he did Eve so be on guard.

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11: 3).

-notice it was enticing and using human nature against themselves-you can be God

-Problem: if this part of the Bible is not true then how can we trust the rest to be true

-Invalidate Genesis 1-11 then they don’t have to win over the minds of youth that the rest of the  Bible is just fiction or part of a myth story. If there is no creator then there is no God then Jesus’ death on the cross doesn’t provide anything. He is just an invalid myth.

-What values are we passing down? Miseducation of American kids who are in k-12 progressive indoctrination are taking over. 

-The point is not what is put in but was was taken out-Bible, pledge, prayer, christian rights

-Target: Remove God-insert Gender fluid human gods-no creator of man and woman

Ex. There is no biological sex. It is a spectrum of genders

-Founders education-think critically and have freedom of thought

-Appropriate grade level and what exposed to has been removed: environmentalism, climate change, sex education, SEL, CRT, intersectionality, American history, and gender theory 

 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea” (Matthew 18:8)

January 27, 2023 DDF Breathes New Life Post/on Grief

Well, the topic of grief was at the forefront of my week. Our ladies group talked about our own grief journeys. How we have dealt with grief and were we prepared to experience grief. Mixed-bag of answers. As I listened to their stories I had two thoughts.

-growing roses on my barren soul (this is a line from a song and I envision in loss it saps our hearts, minds, and souls but to think that God can bring forth the beauty of a rose is able to grow which to me represent healing and our growth of joy within the pain)

-It matters how a person dies (In my own experience that I shared)
The deepest grief I shared was when my daughter died of SIDS one week before my 18th birthday. I explained that I didn’t celebrate my birthday for 20+ years. I didn’t celebrate St. Patrick's either as that was her birthday. The grief eases as the years pass by but it still is very present in my life those 2 times a year especially. I also share a “grief” month with my best friend whose love of her life took his life leaving her in a lifelong state of so many unanswered questions. One other person at my table said she was the only sibling to survive a car wreck so lives with survivor’s guilt. She is constantly trying to prove that her surviving matters to her family and to the world. All situations are hard to wrap our minds around which is natural.
Here are some points:
-God can handle your anger
-God can listen to your harsh words-even when you want to say “I hate you!”
-God can handle it all-just bring it to Him and set it at his feet
-He is our great comforter

I am not sure if you know who Diamond and Silk are, but if not they are two very outspoken southern women who spoke truth to the world. I read their book “Uprising” and I loved it. Interesting fact: Diamond at one time once as a fight promoter. They are so passionate and colorful, so when I heard that Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway passed away at age 51 I had to watch her celebration of life. Watching had me looking at the difference between a funeral and celebration of life:

Funeral-defined as to contemplate the meaning of life-to say goodbye-to remember the person.

Celebration of life-there are no contemplation-the life lived was the meaning-there is no goodbye, but we will miss her, but God needed her more so we celebrate her spiritual legacy that lives in all who knew her. Her life was salt and light, so a chapel wouldn’t work so they were in a huge auditorium.

Highlights:
-Older brother had the whole auditorium singing “My Girl.”
-Her son said he is a living legacy of his mother. He described her as a front line soldier against the evil happening in our country. Then he said the challenge will be taking up the mantle as she would be proud of him

-Her father expressed words of wisdom: “God gave you these children to take care of them,” “Cherish your children-parents don’t forget to show your kids how precious they are so don’t just say ‘I love you,” but love them through life,” “Don’t let the school raise your children,” “You are born with certain gifts."

-Silk spoke and what a powerhouse. Their “Chit Chat” show will continue. She said she was going to celebrate her sister’s presence as one who had a sharp tongue, but a kind heart; so here are mentionables:
“Hey Ya’ll” when she wanted your attention
“Don’t get lost in the sauce”
“I gotta get the mofo straight”
“Don’t get it twisted”
“See, hear, and feel the realness”
“You may not pay what you owe, but you will pay what you sow”
“Let the life I lived speak for me”
Diamond was political, she called out corruption. She loved humanity so she spoke the truth to help people. She knew she was a warrior in spiritual warfare so her purpose was to Awaken America to fight the “demonic bastards.”

Silk ended with singing a song I had not ever heard before. I learned that the song is an

Then she held her hand up and said “spoiler alert! Satan doesn’t win!”

***side note she does talk about her sister’s death and connection to the vaccine so I am sure she will be talking more about that on her Chit Chat show. Also Trump did speak, but Diamond and their family all loved him and his family as they had intertwined the families.

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body” ( Philippians 3: 20-21).

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4).

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands” (Psalm 138: 8).

Prayer: That the body of Christ would stand strong for biblical values and not be silenced by fear of rejection, abandonment, or any other thing. For the church to be wise as it pertains to these spiritual dangers, that none of God’s own will be destroyed for lack of knowledge. For revelation and exposure of all things God would have us bring to the light.
