Random thoughts from last few weeks:

At times, I wish I could have the attitude of the geese as they cross the street. No matter who they hold up they just slowly strut across the street with no care of hurrying or even looking left or right. Just a casual stroll like the whole purpose for walking across the street will be there when they get there. I watch them and think about how blessed to have that kind of freedom.

I got a compliment, but before I get the compliment the person always says “I hope you will not be offended, but….” I know what is coming and if the person would just say hey, you look like so and so then I would not feel so unsure and then how do I respond to, “but you look just like Sally Field.” I usually just smile and nod. Awkward!

I have come to have disdain for working from home. I don’t want to hate it because I am home with my family. We are safe. I need my workspace and I don’t want to hear anyone who has made a home school space that is amazing. You stay home so I have the option to go in to work in my office. I feel like I am a teenager who has been grounded and I keep hoping I get the green light to leave my house to go to work. If I hear a pause for another 30 days, urrrrrrg! I’ll add a stomp of my feet and follow up with an eye roll.

Lastly, I am a Christian and I have heard on several outlets words like being deprogrammed based on  one's political views and values or kids should be sent to a camp to be reeducated from political cult beliefs. Over politics! I don’t serve politics, a party, or even a person. I serve God first and my political views align with God’s word first. Then I make decisions about politics. This is why people don’t like talking about politics, but when I hear words that remove thoughts and views then I see a very scary America. Just be aware and learn and make decisions of your own on what is being transformed in our country. I listened to an interview with Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter, Bernice, who said her father’s powerful words can be taken out of context as he defined himself as a preacher first with a belief and relationship with God first. Everything he did came out of heart that loved God, so when he speaks about justice he wanted it to come through love, truth, and commitment to others. Prayers for our nation and that we hear him as a preacher first to come together instead of ripping America apart.

With all that is happening are you at the point where you can’t run anymore? Your are at the end of yourself? Life is not always scripted as we face problems and the hardest part is to hang onto God and hope you will find relief and blessings. Just stay strong and keep your faith in Christ so you come home each day spiritually with him. Just remember that angry people can be very destructive and manipulate people and circumstances. Don’t allow them to define you, so stay on your path:

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” (Matthew 7:13).

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

Prayers that you are blessed today. Prayers for our beautiful America. Prayers for our future and for our humanity.

Sometimes we just need a heartfelt worship song. Been walking with this one:
