I remember growing up during the cold war hiding underneath my desk.  I used to think what would happen to this great country that I live in and what would become of our lives.

I am now older and realize that we spent so much time worrying about war and such that we left our borders open. In doing so, we allowed one country to cross our borders and take over our country like cochroaches.  Now the infestation is so large we can not remedy it.

Our schools and local governments have spent tens of thousands of dollars; if not more printing and providing documents in Spanish.  Our government is broke because we decided that these illegals needed to be informed.  They came here not wanting or caring to learn our language, but having open hands and rallying to have equal rights.  They came here getting government assistance and in many cases not even paying taxes to support the monies given to them.

I have paid taxes all my life since 15 years of age when I began working.  Now if I needed assistance for any reason I would have to jump through loops to prove my needs. Here is a good example: a good friend was recently laid off from his job, a short time later he was informed that his spouse was diagnosed with cancer.  When he went to get support he was required to prove that his wife, who also worked the majority of her life in this country, was under the care of a doctor.

I may sound prejudice but I have seen many illegal girls (under 18) get benefits just because they have kids.  Oh I forgot to tell you, that this man who is asking for assistance also has 3 kids. Many of these girls who get benefits have never worked a day in their life and many times are children of illegals.

I don’t want anyone to give up their heritage, but I do believe that if you choose to move to another country then you should embrace that country; do not change it to something you didn’t get from the country you came from.

America wake up, grow up, get some balls and stop giving away the benefits from those of us who have lived here all our lives, paying our taxes for benefits that we may never see.
