“Your so vain, you probably think this post is about you”
What is it with social media and the responses that happen once you make a post? It appears many people think any and all post are about them. Are you that vain, insecure or that pompous, that you feel everyone is talking about you?
I really think that posting on social media is a state of mind at the time, I may post something because of a news article or something I have read. Once the post goes out I have gotten crazy responses which sometimes boggles my mind. “OMG I can’t believe you said that”, or a nasty response from someone who thought it was about them when in actuality it had nothing to do with them.
Have we become a society which has to defend everything we do, say or write? No, we don’t! If people will just take in context what is written and the understanding that the person writing the post may have a different outlook at that time.
It is so easy to type crap about someone on a screen, but you would never say to the persons face. Think about what you type and post it as if you were talking directly to that person.
I think we need to understand the affects of social media and that everything posted is NOT about YOU!
