Being stupid doesn’t constitute your right to sue
This last week we have laughed out loud and really, really hard. When you are stupid and do something funny people will laugh. If you can’t laugh at yourself then you have bigger problems.
First we have New York college student Hubert Blackman, who was visiting Las Vegas, NV and decided to have a stripper give him a lap dance and and MORE. This educated New York college student paid the stripper $155 to get a lap dance and got a “sex act” performed on him for additional $120.
The student called the agency the next day stating the stripper did not stay then entire 1 1/2 hours that he paid for. Well Mr. Blackman, you did say you were drunk, maybe the stripper would have upheld the time frame had you upheld (umm kept up) your end of the deal.
After calling the police who informed him that prostitution was illegal he is now threaten legal action against the escort company, claiming they owe him $1.8 million. Blackman says the company allowed him to pay for sex for when he was drunk and he now needs medical treatment for a mental condition related to the incident. Is $1.8 million right for someone claiming mental embarrassment? I just say his claim is Limp!
Next we have Cathy Cruz Marrero, a 49-year-old Berkshire Mall employee who fell into a mall fountain in Pennsylvania while texting. Now she has an attorney who claims “We are troubled by the fact that anyone at the Berkshire Mall responsible for releasing this video would find humor in an employee injured on the premises.”
I saw the video, she did not seem to be injured but after the video was published she was embarrassed. Maybe the mall needs to sue this woman for tainting the water in the fountain because she was stupid and careless. Maybe the mall should sue this woman/employee for getting out of the fountain and walking away dripping water all over the floor which could have actually caused an injury to a shopper in the mall.
Just because you are stupid and have an embarrassing moment, does not give you the right to sue. Laugh it off and move on.
