As reported on Fox News; San Francisco city leaders are set to consider levying a fee on alcohol that would go to cover some of the costs linked to drinking too much.

Why is it government thinks the only way to deal with a problem is to TAX TAX TAX?  Why are they not concerned with dealing with the problem.  How about they deal with the reason these people drink too much.  Maybe if we were not taxed so much, many would not drink so much.

Have we not learned that taxation is not the solution to these types of problems.  Some people have become dependent on alcohol and need medical treatment not more taxes.  Government thinks that taxes will solve the problems with people who are addicted to smoking, drinking, food or any addiction they may have.  Government just keeps taxing us to a point where some who never had an addiction becomes addicted.
