The show “Hoarders” on the A&E channel is surprisingly addictive. The manner in which these people live is understandably disgusting, but watching their stories drew us in as they shed tears about letting objects be thrown away. There are so many facets to being a hoarder that we didn’t know and to think there are 3-6 million families out there dealing with this disorder.

One woman got divorced, lost custody of her kids, and then lost the house anyway. Wow, we think of drug addicts losing everything, but this disorder is just as destructive as any drug out there.

The Colony on the Discovery Channel has been intriguing because these people are very inventive while trying to survive. They have very different backgrounds, so watching them get attacked, make electricity, collect water, negotiate the return of a fellow colonist, make weapons, and even kill a gator, etc….We give these people credit for being out there for over 30 days now and still working together to make it through the experiment. It is on Tuesday nights.

I am curious about Tony Danza’s upcoming show called “teach Tony Danza” where he uses his education degree to become a 1st year English teacher. Maybe this show could promote what good teachers do in the classroom. It premieres Friday, October 1st so check out A&E for more details.

Any other reality shows out there that we should be interested in? It is not like our recorded list is not full enough, LOL! People watching is fascinating…
